Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2025

Welcome to azadsensei.blogspot.com (“we”, “our”, “the Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our JLPT preparation site (N5–N1 grammar, vocabulary, kanji lessons and quizzes), how we use it, and your choices.

1. Who we are

This site is hosted on Google’s Blogger platform. Content is created and maintained by the site owner (“Azad Sensei”).

2. Information we collect

  • Basic usage data: IP address, device/browser info, pages viewed, and timestamps are logged by Blogger/Google for security and analytics.
  • Cookies & similar tech: Used by Google (Blogger, Analytics, Ad platforms), embedded widgets, and affiliate programs to remember preferences and attribute referrals. See Google’s policies below.
  • Messages you send: If you email us or submit a contact form, we collect the info you provide (name, email, message) to respond.
  • Comments (if enabled): Your name/profile and comment text are stored by Blogger and visible publicly.
  • Email subscriptions (if enabled): Your email address is stored by the email service you opt into; you can unsubscribe anytime via the link in those emails.

3. How we use information

  • Provide and improve lessons, quizzes, and site functionality.
  • Respond to messages and support requests.
  • Measure traffic and performance (aggregate analytics).
  • Comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse.

4. Affiliate disclosure & tracking

We use affiliate links to recommend study resources. When you click an affiliate link, a cookie may be placed to track the referral so a commission can be attributed if you buy—at no extra cost to you. See our Affiliate Disclosure for full details.

5. Third-party services we rely on

  • Google/Blogger & Google Analytics – hosting, logging, optional analytics.
  • Amazon Associates – affiliate program for recommending books/resources.
  • Email service (if enabled) – to send updates you request.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and cookie practices. Please review:

6. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

  • Consent – for non-essential cookies/analytics and email subscriptions.
  • Legitimate interests – to secure the site, prevent abuse, and improve content.
  • Contract – when you request resources or support by contacting us.

7. Your choices

  • Cookie controls: Adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Google also offers ad settings and consent controls depending on region.
  • Opt out of emails: Use the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
  • Access/delete: Contact us to request access or deletion of messages you sent via the contact form.

8. Data retention

  • Contact messages: kept as long as needed to handle your request and maintain records.
  • Analytics logs: retained according to Google’s default retention policies.

9. Children’s privacy

This site is intended for general audiences and for learners typically 13+; we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us to remove it.

10. International transfers

Because we use Google/Blogger and other providers, your information may be processed on servers outside your country, subject to those providers’ safeguards.

11. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent version.
